The custody comes a day after the Delhi Police interrogated Lawrence Bishnoi inside the Tihar Jail over the murder of singer-politician Sidhu Moose Wala.
New Delhi: The Delhi Police on Tuesday took jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi in its custody in connection with an Arms Act case. This comes a day after the Special Cell of the Delhi Police interrogated Bishnoi inside the Tihar Jail over the murder of singer-politician Sidhu Moose Wala.
Bishnoi was earlier lodged in a Rajasthan jail and was recently shifted to Delhi in connection with an MCOCA case. Police sources said once in Delhi, he allegedly contacted his associates and tasked Shahrukh to kill Moose Wala. However, the plan failed and later Shahrukh was arrested by a team of Delhi Police’s Special Cell.
The police had on Monday questioned Bishnoi and Shahrukh for allegedly planning the murder of Moose Wala. The suspicion on Bishnoi’s role came after his aide Goldy Brar claimed responsibility for the murder of Moose Wala. It is alleged that Bishnoi planned the murder from inside the jail with the help of internet calls.
