New Delhi: A four-year-old was allegedly raped by the sibling of her tuition teacher’s brother in Delhi on Saturday, resulting in a massive protest outside the house of the accused. The alleged rape assault took place when the teacher was not present, the Delhi Police said on Sunday.
The police said the accused has been arrested.
Angry demonstrators amassed outside the rape accused’s home on Sunday, venting their frustrations with a forceful display. In a scene captured by onlookers, the irate crowd damaged vehicles, including cars and autos, in the vicinity.
According to police, the four-year-old informed her parents that the teacher’s brother raped her while the teacher was not present and warned her against speaking about the incident. Authorities have deployed a significant police presence in the vicinity in response to the situation.
The NDTV quoted a Delhi Police statement and said, “The girl is absolutely fine. She was sent to AIIMS because the one stop center there has better facilities for small children than Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital. The girl’s mother and father are with her. She is undergoing counselling.”
