Since Delhi has recorded Delhi its second hottest April in 72 years with a monthly average maximum temperature of 40.2 degrees Celsius, the schools of the national capital region (NCR) have been taking several steps to provide relief to the students.
The schools have been revising school timings, restricting outdoor activities, stocking ORS and glucose sachets, and constantly motivating children to stay hydrated, as the heatwave kept sweeping the national capital over more than a month.
The experts suggested that closing schools due to heat wave is not an option, as offline classes have started from the new session after nearly two years due to the Covid-induced pandemic.
