AAP leaders, in their allegation, said that there is corruption of Rs1,400 crore which is very huge and must be investigated.
New Delhi: Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena to take legal action against Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader for levelling corruption charges against him. According to the report, the administrative head of Delhi will file a case against them for defamatory and false allegations of corruption.
The Delhi LG will reportedly sue AAP leaders Saurabh Bhardwaj, Atishi, Durgesh Pathak and Jasmine Shah among others. The LG House officials have reportedly said to take action against them for levelling charges as a “figment of their imagination”.
LG office, in a statement, said, “This has been the hallmark of (Arvind) Kejriwal and co. to shoot and scoot and then when pushed for truth, apologise.”
“The LG has taken a serious view of these blatantly false, defamatory and obviously diversionary allegations made by these AAP leaders and has decided to take legal action against them so that the AAP does not get away with its characteristic shoot and scoot,” it said.
Amid controversy over a CBI raid at the residence of Deputy CM Manish Sisodia and others a few days ago, the AAP leaders have engaged in a war of words with BJP and have also leveled corruption charges against Lieutenant Governor. The ruling party leaders have alleged that during the demonetisation in 2016, VK Saxena changed banned currency notes worth Rs 1,400 crore when he was chairman of Khadi India, a government body.
AAP leaders, in their allegation, said that there is corruption of Rs1,400 crore which is very huge and must be investigated. “Two cashiers from ‘Khadi Gram Udyog’ exposed the corruption of current LG of Delhi Vinay Saxena during demonetization, black money was converted into white under orders of Vinay Saxena,” the leaders said.
The party alleged that when the country was standing in queues, LG VK Saxena used his power to convert Rs 1400 Crore Black Money to White Money.
