On Wednesday, the LG House had said to take legal action against Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader for levelling corruption charges against VK Saxena.
New Delhi: Amid widening rift between Delhi’s Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena and Aam Aadmi Party, the former has strongly denied any such allegation. The Delhi LG said that Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, in desperation, has resorted to diversionary tactics and false accusations on him.
In a series of tweets, Delhi LG said, “Abiding by the Constitution and my duties towards the people of Delhi, I flagged the issues of: 1. Grave anomalies in Excise Policy later withdrawn by the Cabinet headed by CM @ArvindKejriwal ji himself.”
“2. Inordinate delay of 2.5 years in acting on CVC report on irregularities in construction of Classrooms in Delhi Govt Schools 3. Files not being signed by CM @ArvindKejriwal Ji 4. CAG audits not being conducted timely in State Universities.” He said in another tweet.
“5. Cabinet notes reaching me after Cabinet meetings, and 6. Non availability of water in Foreign Missions, among others. I had expected Shri @ArvindKejriwal ji to address these in the right spirit.” he tweeted.
“Unfortunately, the response has been nothing but subterfuge amounting to defence of the indefensible and abusive personal attack on me,” he further tweeted.
“As a public representative, Hon’ble CM needs to explain to the people ‘his art’ of converting Rs 17 lakhs, ascertained by CBI as demonetised currency exchanged by 2 employees of Khadi Bhawan Delhi, into Rs 1400 Cr as claimed by AAP,” added the Delhi LG in his concluding tweet.
Earlier on Wednesday, the LG House had said to take legal action against Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader for levelling corruption charges against VK Saxena.
It had said to sue AAP leaders Saurabh Bhardwaj, Atishi, Durgesh Pathak and Jasmine Shah among others. LG office, in a statement, had said, “This has been the hallmark of (Arvind) Kejriwal and co. to shoot and scoot and then when pushed for truth, apologise.”
AAP leaders, in their allegation, had said that there is corruption of Rs1,400 crore which is very huge and must be investigated. “Two cashiers from ‘Khadi Gram Udyog’ exposed the corruption of current LG of Delhi Vinay Saxena during demonetization, black money was converted into white under orders of Vinay Saxena,” the leaders said.
