New Delhi: Almost three weeks after suffering from heart attack, Comedian Raju Srivastava has been put on ventilator support again on Thursday. According to the report, Srivastava was put on a ventilator after he ran a fever of nearly 100 degrees.
Under hospitalisation for the past 15 days, comedian Raju Srivastava had on August 25 had gained consciousness. The 58-year-old comedian was running on a treadmill when he suffered a cardiac arrest.
The comedian’s personal secretary, Garvit Narang, had said Srivastava is being monitored by the doctors at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Delhi.
Earlier, Raju Srivastava’s manager had also said that he is not responding as there is not much improvement in his health. Though his brain is not working accordingly, doctors have been asking to wait for some time.
Actress Sambhavna Seth, in a tweet, had said, “Hey Everyone. I am very much in touch with Raju ji s Family. Spoke to his Wife and he is showing signs of improvement. Let’s all pray for his speedy recovery instead of spreading false news.”
She had also shared a message which read, “Dear all Raju Srivatava ji’s condition is stable. We are praying for his speedy recovery. The doctors are treating him and are doing their best. Thanks to all the well-wishers for their continued love and support. Please ignore any rumour/fake news being circulated. Please pray for him.”
Earlier, Srivastava’s younger brother Deepu too had shared a video message and revealed details about his brother’s health. Deepu expressed gratitude towards the fans for their prayers for the well-being of Raju Srivastava and refuted farcical rumours about his health.
Deepu had also called Raju a fighter in the video message. “He is a fighter and will soon come back winning the battle and will entertain everyone with his comedy,” Deepu had added.
