New Delhi: Gangster Sandeep, also known as Kala Jathedi, tied the knot with history-sheeter Anuradha Choudhary, alias ‘Madam Minz’, in a heavily secured ceremony in Delhi’s Dwarka on Tuesday.
Kala Jathedi, currently lodged in Tihar Jail, was granted permission from 10 am to 4 pm for the wedding by a Delhi court.
Delhi on Tuesday was transformed into a highly guarded zone prior to the much-publicised wedding at Dwarka Sector-3’s Santosh Banquet. The security cover was ensured to prevent potential gang conflicts or any attempt by Kala Jathedi to flee custody, as per police statements.
Teams from various units, including the Delhi Police Special Cell, Special Staff, and Crime Branch, were deployed for security. Guests were provided with barcode bands for entry, with strict vehicle access control near the banquet.

The banquet, booked by Sandeep’s lawyer, was situated seven kilometers away from Tihar Jail. The wedding saw over 250 policemen and SWAT commandoes, equipped with advanced weaponry, ensuring security. Metal detectors were installed at the entry point and all attendees were required to pass through them.
CCTV cameras and drones were employed for constant surveillance. Sandeep’s family provided a guest list of 150 attendees, with event staff also issued ID cards for verification. Due to potential risks, including shootouts or gang conflicts, senior Delhi police officials emphasized the necessity for heightened security measures.
Who is Sandeep or Kala Jathedi
Sandeep, once a fugitive with a reward of Rs 7 lakh on his head, faces numerous criminal charges across multiple states. He has been linked to contract killings and extortion activities alongside jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. Sandeep has a history of escaping police custody, orchestrating shootouts and aiding associates’ escapes.
After the wedding, Sandeep will undergo homecoming rituals in his hometown, escorted by a substantial contingent of Delhi Police personnel. His bride, Anuradha Choudhary, also has a criminal record and is currently out on bail, facing charges in Rajasthan and Delhi.
Their relationship reportedly began in 2020 through a mutual contact, Vicky Singh, brother of the late gangster Anandpal Singh. Choudhary, previously married to Deepak Minz, derives her alias ‘Minz’ from her former husband.
The couple was apprehended by the Delhi Police Special Cell in July 2021, near a highway. Sandeep had a reward of Rs 7 lakh, while Choudhary had a reward of Rs 10,000 by the Rajasthan Police.
