New Delhi: It was a Golden moment for India on Sunday as four Gold medals were won by the athletes in 2022 Commonwealth Games 2022.
Today’s Triple Jump event is historic when Indian athletes gave their best performance. Indian athlete Eldhose Paul who has won a Gold medal and backed up his good performance in previous international competitions. Amit Panghal (men’s flyweight) won gold for the country in CWG 2022 on Sunday. Nitu Ganghas (women’s minimum weight) and Nikhat Zareen (Boxing) won Gold medals in their respective games. Zareen secured third medal in Boxing for the country.
Apart from this, Apart from this, Abdulla Aboobacker has won a Silver in the Triple Jump event in Birmingham. Sharath Kamal/Sathiyan G (Men’s doubles TT) also won Silver medal. On Sunday, three Bronze medals were also came to India as Annu Rani (Women’s Javelin Throw), Sandeep Kumar (Men’s 10,000m Race Walk) and Women’s hockey team secured third position in their respective games.

PM Modi, in a congratulatory message to Nikhat Zareen, tweeted, “Nikhat Zareen is India’s pride. She is a world class athlete who is admired for her skills. I congratulate her on winning a Gold medal at the CWG. Excelling in various tournaments, she has shown great consistency. Best wishes for her future endeavours. #Cheer4India.”
President of India, in a tweet, said, “History created! Heartiest congratulations to Eldhose Paul for claiming gold & Abdulla Aboobacker for winning silver in triple jump at #CommonwealthGames. It was splendid to see our country’s domination, both finalists being from India. This rare feat will be cherished for long.”
Sport Authority of India (SAI) tweeted, “WHAT A WOW JUMP!! #EldhosePaul creates history by winning 🇮🇳’s 1st ever GOLD in Men’s Triple Jump at #CommonwealthGames.
