The incident is part of a series of unfortunate events affecting the Indian community abroad. Gadde, a student at the Trine University in Indiana, was visiting the waterfall with his sister’s family when the accident occurred.
The Consulate General of India in New York expressed deep sorrow over the loss and extended condolences to his family and friends. They are also providing necessary assistance, including issuing a No Objection Certificate (NOC) for the transportation of Gadde’s remains to India. In a statement on X, the consulate offered their thoughts and prayers to the grieving family.
