During an election rally in Maharashtra’s Yavatmal on Tuesday afternoon, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari suddenly fainted. The senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader, however, swiftly received medical attention and, after a brief pause, resumed his speech.
A distressing video of the incident circulated on social media platforms, capturing the moment when Nitin Gadkari collapsed while addressing the crowd. Concerned individuals rushed to his aid, forming a protective circle around him to provide privacy as he received treatment.
Nitin Gadkari, who represents Nagpur in the Lok Sabha and has previously won the seat in 2014 and 2019, was campaigning for Rajashree Patil, the Mahayuti alliance’s candidate for Yavatmal.
Patil, affiliated with Chief Minister Eknath Shinde’s faction of the Shiv Sena, enjoys support from the BJP, Shiv Sena, and the Nationalist Congress Party breakaway unit led by Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar.
