Reports suggest the fire broke out due to an explosion in the boiler of the factory located in the Dholana area of the district.

Hapur: A massive fire broke out at a chemical factory in the Hapur district of Uttar Pradesh on Saturday killing at least eight persons and injuring as many as 20. Firefighters were rushed to the spot and the rescue operation was initiated soon.
Reports suggest the fire broke out due to an explosion in the boiler of the factory located in the Dholana area of the district. Some of the factory labourers are still stuck inside the factory, said, sources.
Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s office tweeted, “The chief minister has directed district administration officers to go to the spot and oversee rescue and relief measures and extend all possible help to the victims and their families.”
The CM has also reportedly asked to take help from professionals to unearth the reason behind the incident.
