West Bengal SIR Final List: The Office of the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), West Bengal, has published the final Electoral Roll under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) 2026, confirming that 63,66,952 voters were deleted during the entire revision exercise.
The final roll was published on February 28, 2026, in compliance with the Supreme Court’s orders dated February 20 and 24, 2026, along with instructions issued by the Election Commission of India.

Electoral Strength Before SIR 2026
Before the commencement of the Special Intensive Revision, the total number of electors in West Bengal as on October 27, 2025 stood at:

58,20,899 Enumeration Forms Not Received
During the initial stage of the SIR process, 58,20,899 enumeration forms were not received. These entries were treated as ineligible and removed in the draft stage. The category-wise breakup is:

This brought down the electorate significantly at the time of draft publication.

Following the 100% physical verification conducted by Booth Level Officers (BLOs), the Draft Electoral Roll published on December 16, 2025 showed:

The Gender Ratio remains 956, unchanged from the draft stage.
Additionally, the press note states that 60,06,675 electors under adjudication have been included in the final roll published on February 28, 2026.
Appeals and Public Access
The Electoral Roll of SIR 2026 has been displayed at all polling stations and is available for public inspection at the offices of the Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) and Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AEROs). Copies have also been provided to recognized political parties.
Under Section 24 of the Representation of the People Act, 1950, appeals against decisions of the Electoral Registration Officer may be filed before the District Magistrate, with a second appeal lying before the Chief Electoral Officer under Rule 27 of the Registration of Electors Rules, 1960.
Application for New Voters
Citizens who completed 18 years as on January 1, 2026 were eligible to apply during the SIR. Prospective electors turning 18 on April 1, July 1, and October 1, 2026 may apply online through https://voters.eci.gov.in, via the ECINET mobile app, or through their concerned Booth Level Officer.
With 63,66,952 deletions and 1,88,707 additions, the Special Intensive Revision 2026 marks one of the largest voter roll verification exercises in West Bengal in recent years, resulting in a final electorate of 7,04,59,284.
