In a surprising development, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has seen his newly launched Hebrew language account on the social media platform X suspended after just two posts, as reported by the Jerusalem Post. The account was established amidst heightened tensions following recent Israeli airstrikes on Iranian military installations.
Khamenei’s latest post, shared on Sunday, asserted, “The Zionist regime made a mistake, and erred in its calculation regarding Iran. We will make it understand what power, ability, initiative and desire the Iranian nation has.” This message echoed sentiments of defiance against Israel, a theme prevalent in Khamenei’s communications.
The initial post, made on Saturday, began with the phrase, “In the name of Allah the merciful,” setting a religious tone. These posts were released in the aftermath of Israel’s military actions targeting Iranian assets, which included missile manufacturing facilities and surface-to-air missile systems.
On his primary account on X, Khamenei frequently addresses his audience in Hebrew, often using harsh rhetoric directed at Israel. He has previously stated that the implications of Israel’s airstrikes on Iran should neither be exaggerated nor dismissed. On Sunday, he emphasized that while Israel aims to portray its actions as impactful, it is crucial for Iran to acknowledge the significance of these strikes without downplaying their seriousness.

Khamenei remarked, “They’re making a miscalculation concerning Iran,” highlighting a perceived lack of understanding from Israel regarding the capabilities and resolve of the Iranian people. He stressed the necessity for Israel to recognize Iran’s strength, intelligence, and determination.
In the wake of Israeli airstrikes, Iran reported that two of its soldiers were killed. The strikes targeted various military installations across the country, including locations in Tehran, Khuzestan, and Ilam provinces, which the Iranian air force stated resulted in “limited damage.” Following the attack, Israel claimed it had completed its response to a missile strike launched by Iran on October 1, asserting that its mission was successful and that its warplanes returned safely.
As the situation continues to evolve, Khamenei’s abrupt social media suspension serves as a notable moment in the ongoing tensions between Iran and Israel, reflecting the complex dynamics of regional politics.
