New Delhi: As per the latest weather forecast, several regions across India are bracing for severe weather conditions including heavy rainfall, snowfall and hailstorms over the next few days. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued advisories for various states and union territories, urging residents to take necessary precautions.
Northern Regions:
Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Muzaffarabad are likely to experience isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall and snowfall on March 1 and 2.
Himachal Pradesh is expected to witness isolated heavy rainfall and snowfall on March 1, escalating to heavy to very heavy rainfall and snowfall on March 2.
Uttarakhand is also on alert for isolated heavy rainfall and snowfall on both March 1 and 2.
Punjab is forecasted to encounter isolated heavy rainfall on March 2.

Hailstorm Activity:
Hailstorms are predicted at isolated places over Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Punjab on March 1 and 2.
The IMD said on March 2, hailstorms are expected over West Rajasthan, Haryana, Chandigarh, East Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and north Madhya Pradesh.
Western Himalayan Region:
Fairly widespread to widespread light to moderate rainfall, accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning, is likely to persist over the Western Himalayan Region until March 3.
Northern Plains:
The IMD further predicted Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and parts of Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and north Madhya Pradesh should prepare for scattered to fairly widespread light to moderate rainfall, thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds on March 1 and 2.
Delhi may experience spells of light to moderate rainfall, thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds on March 2.
Central and Eastern Regions:
Thunderstorms and lightning are expected over Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh on March 1 and 2, extending to March 5 for Chhattisgarh.
Isolated hailstorms are likely over Madhya Maharashtra on March 1, Marathwada on March 1 and 2, and Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh on March 2, said the IMD.
Northeastern States:
Arunachal Pradesh should anticipate isolated to scattered light to moderate rainfall and snowfall over the next seven days. Isolated thunderstorms and lightning are forecasted on March 4 and 5, with isolated heavy rainfall/snowfall on March 4.
Assam and Meghalaya and Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura may experience isolated light to moderate rainfall during March 3 to 6.
Southern Regions:
Hot and humid weather is expected over Kerala for the next two days and over Rayalaseema during March 1 and 4.
