Bharuch Rape: A 10-month-old girl was allegedly raped by a 30-year-old person in Gujarat’s Bharuch on Sunday, the police said on Tuesday. The incident took place in the Panoli town when the accused took away the child when she was playing in the patio of her home.
The accused allegedly assaulted the baby while taking her to his home, the police said.
As indicated by the police, the child’s mother and the rest of the family knew the accused. The accused had visited their house on several occasions.
The child’s grandma heard her cries and hurried to find the child seriously harmed. The locals captured the man and handed him over to the Bharuch police. Afterwards, the child’s mother, who hurried to the scene, took her child to the Bharuch Common Emergency clinic, where her condition deteriorated because of the serious wounds.

The police have filed a case under the POCSO Act and the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. A clinical assessment of both the man and the child has been conducted.
