New Delhi: Amid allegations of corruption against Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia over Delhi Excise Policy, opposition BJP on Thursday released another ‘sting’ video purportedly showing a liquor trader claiming corruption in framing and implementation of the policy. The opposition party said that the policy was introduced in the city to aide corruption and lead to misusing of funds. Hitting out at BJP’s ‘sting’ operation, Delhi Deputy CM said that arrest him by Monday if allegations are true.
The BJP leaders, in a press conference, said, “The scam sting of the Aam Aadmi Party has come to the fore. In that scam accused number-9 Amit Arora has exposed the entire poll. How much money was taken from whom? How scams happened, everything has been exposed. The entire policy was prepared only for the scam.”
It is clear from the way things have been said in the sting. Kejriwal government has only one policy will perform all the rituals corruption practices,” the party leaders added.
Party leader Sudhanshu Trivedi said, “Amit Arora is telling that the commission was decided by the government. Not only this, the liquor scam money was used in Goa and Punjab elections. Fees of up to Rs 5 crore each have been fixed as a minimum. 5 crore was kept so that petty players could not come. Whereas this policy is made on the premise that even small businessmen get a chance to work.”
Hitting out at BJP, Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia said, “CBI raided my house, nothing was found. Nothing was found in the locker. CBI/ED investigated, found nothing. Now BJP has come with sting. CBI/ED should also investigate this sting. If the allegations are true, arrest me by Monday. Otherwise, PM ji should apologize to me for doing a false sting on Monday.”
Replying to Sisodia’s tweet, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal said, “Wow Manish! Only a true and courageous person can give such a challenge. I am sure BJP will accept your challenge. The whole country is proud of your work and your honesty. They are scared of your school work. Want to stop him. You keep doing your job.”
