Patna: A day after the end of the impasse with the Chirag Paswan-led Lok Janshakti Party (LJP), the BJP has finalised a seat-sharing formula for NDA allies in Bihar.
Bihar has a total of 40 Lok Sabha seats. According to the reports, the saffron party will fight on 17 seats, JDU will fight on 16 seats LJP will fight on five and Upendra Kushwaha and Jitan Ram Manjhi will contest on one seat each.
The BJP this time has succeeded to get the maximum number of seats in the state. Meanwhile, for Chirag Paswan, getting five seats is a major boost, more so since he is not in good terms with his uncle Pashupati Paras’s faction of the LJP.
If sources are to be believed, the BJP has offered to make Pashupati Paras governor of any of the states. Sources added that the opposition parties have approached Paras to join the opposition bloc and have offered eight seats.

Of the eight seats, Opposition has offered six seats which the party had won in Bihar last time and two in neighbouring Uttar Pradesh. No official statement has been made by the opposition yet in this regard.
On Wednesday, Chirag had tweeted, “As a member of the NDA, today in a meeting with BJP National President Hon Shri @jpnadda ji, we have together finalised the seat sharing in Bihar for the ensuing Lok Sabha polls. The same will be announced in due course.”
Chirag had earlier said, “Every Party, Every Coalition Wants Me To Be On Its Side.”
