The Chief Minister has kept Home, General Administration, Cabinet Secretariat and Election ministries while the Deputy Chief Minister has kept Health, Road Construction and Urban Development, Housing and Rural Development ministries.
Patna: Almost a week after formation of JD (U)-RJD government in Bihar, a total of 31 MLAs took oath as ministers in Nitish Kumar Cabinet on Tuesday. The JD (u) got 11 ministers while with RJD got 16 ministers from the party. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had parted its way from the BJP and had formed a new alliance with the RJD.
With taking oath of 31 legislatures as ministers, the Nitish Kumar Cabinet took shape on Tuesday. The Chief Minister has kept Home, General Administration, Cabinet Secretariat and Election ministries while the Deputy Chief Minister has kept Health, Road Construction and Urban Development, Housing and Rural Development ministries. Vijay Kumar Chaudhary of JD (U) has got Finance Commercial Tax and Parliamentary Affairs while Tej Pratap Yadav, brother of Tejashwi Yadav, has got Environment, Forest & Climate Change.
Bijendra Yadav has alolocated Power, Planning and Development, Alok Mehta has given Revenue & Land Reforms, Afaque Alam has been allocated Animal Husbandry & Fisheries and Shravan Kumar has been allocated Rural Development. Minister Ashok Choudhary has been alolocated Building Construction, Leshi Singh has been aloocated Food & Consumer Protection Department, Sanjay Jha has been given Water Resources and Information & Public Relations and Madan Sahni has been given Social Welfare.
Apart from this, Kumar Sarvajeet has been given Tourism, Surendra Prasad Yadav has been given Co-operative, Ramanand Yadav has been allocated Mines and Geology, Santosh Kumar Suman has been allocated Welfare (SC & ST) and Lalit Yadav has been given Public Health & Engineering. Samir Kumar Mahaseth has been given Industries, Chandrashekhar has been allocated Education, Jitendra Kumar Rai has been assigned Art, Culture & Youth Affairs, Anita Devi has been assigned Welfare (Backward & Economically Backward Classes), Sudhakar Singh has been given Agriculture while Md Israil Mansuri has been made Minister for Information Technology.
Besides this, Surendra Ram has been given a portfolio of Labour Resources, Shahnawaz Alam has been given portfolio of Disaster Management, Shamim Ahmed has been made Minister of Sugarcane, Murari Gautam has been given Panchayati Raj, Sumit Kumar Singh has been assigned Science & Technology, Sheela Kumari has been alolocated Transport, Mohd Zama Khan has been given Minority Welfare and Kartikeya Singh has been made Minister of Law. Sunil Kumar has been assigned portfolio of Registration & Prohibition and Jayant Raj as Minor Water Resources Minister in the state.
