Amid exit polls predication in favour of the AAP in MCD, Delhi CM thanked the voters.
New Delhi: AAP National Convenor and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal reacted to the recent Exit-Polls of the MCD and Gujarat elections on Tuesday. He thanked the people of Delhi and Gujarat for their support on the occasion. He said, “People of Delhi have again put their trust in Aam Aadmi Party, we are hopeful that very good results will come in MCD elections. It was being said that Gujarat is BJP’s bastion, for the first time a party is getting 15 to 20 percent vote share, it is a big deal.
Deputy CM Manish Sisodia said, “MCD set to witness AAP’s landslide victory, this mandate will be a signal from Delhi to the whole country that AAP is a fiercely honest party. BJP levelled fake allegations against me, ran a witch-hunt after Shri Satyendar Jain. The people of Delhi have proven with their mandate that there was no scam in Delhi and all the allegations of BJP are false, motivated by conspiracy and dirty politics.
“The public is going to once again reject the politics of BJP’s lies, conspiracy and dishonesty and choose CM Arvind Kejriwal’s honesty and work-based politics. BJP fielded many of its Chief Ministers and Union Ministers to campaign against AAP, but the public did not fall for their traps and completely rejected BJP’s politics of dishonesty. AAP is going to make a grand entry in Gujarat. It is a matter of pride for us that we are going to get the status of a national party on December 8 because of the love of the people of Gujarat. This would be happening for the first time in the history of the country that a party has become a national party in just 10 years, thanks to the staunch honest politics of CM Arvind Kejriwal, he said.
AAP National Convenor and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal and Dy CM Manish Sisodia interacted with the media after an event at the Delhi Legislative Assembly. During the interaction the two leaders reacted to the recent Exit-Polls of the MCD and Gujarat elections. They showed optimism towards a bumper victory and related the incoming mandates to be a result of the party’s honest politics.
Kejriwal said, “I would like to thank the citizens of Delhi. I was also following these Exit Polls and it looks like it is a good result for the Aam Aadmi Party in the MCD. But we will wait for the final results to come in tomorrow, before thanking the people of the state. We hope that the results tomorrow will be in accordance with what the Exit Polls have shown and that the people of Delhi and the country go on to support AAP in the future as well. The results shown by the Exit Polls in Gujarat are positive as well. A new party has entered Gujarat and if we manage to win 15-20 per cent votes then I believe that this is a very positive result. Everyone until now was speaking about how Gujarat is a stronghold of the BJP.”
Sisodia said, “Aam Aadmi Party is going to have a sweeping victory in the upcoming MCD poll results. The public is once again going to choose Arvind Kejriwal’s staunch honesty and politics of good governance over the BJP’s lies, conspiracies and dishonest politics. BJP deceived the public, lied to them round the clock, conspired every day against Shri Arvind Kejriwal, tried to defame him, levelled false allegations against me, and tried to defame Satyendra Jain but the people voted for the work not the lies of BJP. The people of Delhi have proved and given this message to the whole country that the Aam Aadmi Party is a staunch honest party and all the allegations levelled against us are just lies.”
