If we want to make a school-hospital, then they abuse and frame false cases.
New Delhi: Days after alleging BJP of poaching its MLAs, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government led by Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday proved its majority on the floor of the house. The government won the trust vote as 58 MLAs voted in its support. The party has 62 MLAs out of total strength of 70 MLAs in the assembly while the opposition BJP has eight MLAs.
The AAP government had brought a confidence motion on the floor of the assembly after alleging to poach its MLAs. The party leaders have said that BJP has started ‘Operation Lotus’ to topple its government but failed to break its legislatures. On September 29, Arvind Kejriwal had tabled the motion on the floor of the house in this regard.
After winning the trust vote, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal said, “Today BJP’s Operation Lotus failed in Delhi. There is an honest party in the country which is neither afraid nor greedy, it can be broken. Liquor scam is over. The CBI did all the investigation, they did not find anything. We say that now get Operation Lotus is investigated.”
Targeting the BJP in the assembly, the Delhi CM said, “What does BJP get by doing a fake case? You spoil the time of the country. Yes, our vote share has increased by four per cent in Gujarat since the raid at Manish Sisodia’s residence took place. If arrested, six per cent votes will increase further.”
He said that earlier they used to say that schools were not built, now they say why so many schools have been built, why so many rooms and toilets have been made for poor children. Why so much trouble with the poor? We will give education. The poor child will read and talk to you eye to eye. “If w want to make a school-hospital, then they abuse us and frame in false cases. Whatever I am today is because of education. My daughter is an IIT pass out, and my son is studying in IIT. I have only one dream, the education this country has given to me and my children, I want to give the same education to every child of the country.” The Delhi CM said.
