PM Modi also rebuked the TMC administration for corruption allegations and misconduct by its members. He highlighted obstacles faced by citizens, such as the denial of LPG connections under the Ujjwala scheme, while announcing a reduction of Rs 100 in LPG cylinder prices to alleviate their burdens. He also criticized opposition parties for opposing free ration distribution to the underprivileged.
He added, “TMC remains indifferent to your struggles. In Sandeshkhali, women from the poor, Dalit, and Adivasi communities have been tortured.”
Modi also said, “In North Bengal, the INDI Alliance has hindered its development and created a wedge within society. For the BJP, the courage and sacrifices of the Gorkhas, Rajbanshis, and Adivasis are the foundation for a ‘Viksit Bengal,’ which will lead us to a Viksit Bharat.”
