The state broadcaster CCTV reported that the incident was caused due to a mountain fire with casualties unknown.

New Delhi: A China Eastern Airlines Boeing 737-800 operating flight MU5735 has reportedly crashed near Wuzhou in southwest China on Monday.
The plane, a China Eastern Airlines Boeing 737 had taken off from Kunming and was headed for Guangzhou when it crashed near Wuzhou city in the Guangxi region.
The state broadcaster CCTV reported that the incident was caused due to a mountain fire with casualties unknown. According to the initial reports, as many as 132 passengers were onboard.
Soon after the crash a ball of fire could be seen emanating from the crash site. The report added that rescue teams were dispatched to the scene.
