New Delhi: Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Bhagwant Mann on Monday witnessed the Kejriwal Government’s monumental education & health revolution first-hand. The Punjab CM expressed his desire to adapt the Delhi Model to transform Punjab. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal guided the Punjab CM through a tour of Delhi Government’s world-class schools, hospitals and Mohalla Clinics and explained how the Delhi Model took shape over the years.
The Punjab CM stated, “The Kejriwal Government’s work is truly mind-blowing. I thought such schools could only exist in US-Canada but they’ve done it here despite all challenges. We will take major strides towards the progress and betterment of Punjab following the Kejriwal Government’s footsteps. The country will only progress when we learn from one another. Mirroring the Delhi Government’s efforts, we will train teachers and principals in Punjab.”
“We will borrow suggestions from them to reform our government schools. We will create an environment in government schools for students to thrive in; children of both the rich and poor will sit and study at the same desk. At the same time Arvind Kejriwal said, “Punjab CM Sardar Bhagwant Mann visited Delhi’s schools and hospitals along with his ministers and officers today. CM Mann was greatly inspired by Delhi Government’s hospitals and clinics.
He expressed his wish to bring about similar reform in Punjab. We will make all possible efforts to help Punjab Government to ensure state-of-the-art healthcare facilities for the people of Punjab. When we learn from each other, fulfil Babasaheb’s dream and give the best education to every child of the country, only then will the country progress.”
During this visit, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, Health Minister Satyendar Jain, Social Welfare Minister Rajendra Pal Gautam, Punjab Education Minister Shri Gurmeet Singh Meet and Punjab Health Minister Dr Vijay Singla were present along with Rajya Sabha MP Shri Raghav Chadha, Delhi MLAs Ms Atishi and Shri Saurabh Bhardwaj and senior officers of the concerned departments.
It is noteworthy that the historical work done by the Kejriwal government in the education and health sector is being discussed in the whole country today and gaining fame across the world. Many dignitaries from the country and abroad have come to see the schools of the Kejriwal Government. More recently, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Thiru M.K. Stalin came to see the schools and Mohalla Clinics of the Kejriwal Government. Thiru M.K. Stalin was in awe of the Kejriwal Government’s schools and Mohalla Clinics. CM M.K. Stalin talked about setting up a world class model school in Chennai. He also invited CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal to come to Tamil Nadu.
