DDA has developed 15 sports complexes, 3 mini sports complexes and 2 golf courses. 5 Centres of Excellence in various Olympic disciplines are under construction in Dwarka and Rohini.
New Delhi: Amit Luthra won the 22nd DDA Lt Governor’s Golf Tournament 2022 which concluded at Qutab Golf Course today. Ranveer Mitroo was the Runner’s up. However, as a mark of appreciation and encouragement, Shri Luthra handed over his prize to Master Mitroo, who is a teenager. In the ladies category, Sonavi Kakkar was the Winner, Himadri Singh was the Runner’s up.
Delhi LG said that complemented Delhi Development Authority (DDA) for organising the event successfully. He said people should be encouraged for undertaking sports and physical exercise, while congratulating all the winners and participants.
The tournament is an annual event instituted in 2001. The 22nd Lt Governor’s Cup Golf Tournament has been held on 5th, 6th, 12th and 13th March, 2022. This is the largest golf tournament in the Country in terms of number of participants. A total of around 850 entries received for the event. Qutab Golf Course, the first public golf course of the country, has become increasingly popular with golfers and on some days there are more than 400 players on the course.

A championship level golf course with yardage of more than 7300 yards is under development at Sector-24, Dwarka. The project is scheduled to be completed in 2023.
Like the new golf driving range at Qutab golf course, DDA will also construct a double level range Dwarka golf course. The Siri Fort golf driving range being redeveloped as a double level driving range will be operational within a month. The pitch and putt course at Siri Fort is being entirely redevelopment and is scheduled to be completed in May this year.
