Prajwal Revanna, the JD(S) MP who got embroiled in a scandal after allegedly sexually assaulting multiple women, on Wednesday took to X and said the “truth will prevail soon”.
Prajwal Revanna, the grandson of former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda, has denied the accusation. In a tweet he said, ”
As I am not in Bangalore to attend the inquiry, I have communicated to C.I.D Bangalore through my Advocate. The truth will prevail soon,” he said in a post on X (formerly Twitter).”
Meanwhile, in a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, who has initiated an investigation into the alleged multiple sexual assault case, urged that the diplomatic passport held by Prajwal Revanna be revoked because he has left the country despite being the main accused in the case.

“Sending the impeding police case and arrest, the accused Member of Parliament and NDA candidate for Lok Sabha Prajwal Revanna has fled the country and traveled abroad. It is learned from the reports that he is traveling abroad on his diplomatic passport,” the Congress leader wrote to Prime Minister Modi today.
He added, “While the SIT is working round the clock to investigate the allegations of crimes against several women by Prajwal Revanna, getting him back to the country is of utmost importance so that he faces investigation and trial as per the law of the land”.

A case of sexual harassment and stalking was launched against him on Sunday. The Karnataka government has also constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT), which may visit Hassan – the constituency that Prajwal Revanna represents in Lok Sabha and is fighting again this time – to explore the claims.
Following the revelation of the charges, Prajwal Revanna’s uncle and JD(S) leader HD Kumaraswamy suspended the MP.
The videos went viral the day after Hassan voted in the Phase 2 election last Friday. After departing for Germany on Saturday, he lodged a police complaint the following day, alleging that the videos were “doctored” and disseminated with the intention of “tarnish his image and poison voters’ minds”.
Additionally, the issue has put pressure on the Bharatiya Janata Party, which is an ally of the JDS in Karnataka.
