New Delhi: As meteorologists brace for the onset of another weather system, a fresh Western Disturbance is anticipated to make its presence felt over the Western Himalayan Region from the night of March 5th, 2024.
This disturbance is expected to bring scattered to fairly widespread light to moderate rainfall and snowfall across several states and territories, including Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, and Himachal Pradesh. Additionally, isolated rainfall and snowfall are likely over Uttarakhand during the period spanning March 5th to March 7th, 2024.
According to the latest forecasts, a trough extending from East Madhya Pradesh to North Tamil Nadu in lower tropospheric levels is set to influence weather patterns across several regions.

This influence is predicted to result in isolated light to moderate rainfall over East Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, and Sikkim on March 4th, 2024.
Meanwhile, a cyclonic circulation situated over northeast Assam in lower tropospheric levels, coupled with the eastward movement of the current Western Disturbance, is expected to have several effects across northeastern states.
This includes scattered to fairly widespread light to moderate rainfall and snowfall over Arunachal Pradesh for the next three days, with isolated instances of heavy rainfall and snowfall anticipated on March 4th, 2024. Additionally, isolated light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning is expected over Assam, Meghalaya, and Nagaland on March 4th and 5th, 2024.
In contrast to the precipitation expected in the aforementioned regions, hot and humid weather conditions are likely to prevail over Rayalaseema and Kerala for the next 2-3 days.
