Dr. M Chuba Aowho joined the BJP in 1991 and is currently the National Vice President, Bharatiya Janata Party and also Chairman to MARCOFED, Govt of Nagaland. Previously, he was four terms state president, two terms full time and two time adhoc, of BJP Nagaland and that time in Nagaland there was no karyakarta to even hold the BJP jhanda (flag) also. Then he worked hard as State President and he was the one who up came with a seat sharing policy with local party in Nagaland and under his able leadership in Nagaland, the BJP is a part of the government in state.
