The autopsy report of Renukaswamy, who was allegedly tortured and killed by popular Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa and his aides in Karnataka, has revealed that Renukawamy died of shock and haemorrhage. The report found 15 wounds on Swamy’s body, indicating a severe beating.
Swamy was kidnapped from Karnataka’s Chitradurga due to his comments on the social media posts of Pavithra Gowda, Thoogudeepa’s girlfriend. His body bore wounds and marks on the head, abdomen, chest, and other parts. The police have seized this vehicle.
In addition to the vehicle, the police have recovered wooden logs, a leather belt, and a rope used to torture Swamy.
Further investigation revealed that Thoogudeepa Darshan allegedly planted three men to take the blame for the murder, offering them Rs 5 lakh each. However, during interrogation, their involvement was exposed. “It’s a heinous crime. He (Darshan Thoogudeepa) has to face the consequences… there will be no interference from the government. There is no room for that,” stated Karnataka Health Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao on Thursday.
In a breakthrough earlier today, a driver named Ravi, who transported Renuka Renukaswamy from Chitradurga to Bengaluru, surrendered to the police.

Ravi had gone into hiding after dropping off the group in Bengaluru but later contacted the taxi association in Chitradurga, who advised him to surrender. Another accused, Raghu alias Raghavendra, who managed a fan club for the Kannada actor in Chitradurga, arranged Ravi’s taxi. Raghu was reportedly hired by Thoogudeepa Darshan to gather information about Swamy.
Swamy’s wife alleged that he was kidnapped from near their house. His body was later dumped by a road in Bengaluru, where it was discovered by a food delivery rider who alerted the police. CCTV footage shows two cars, one linked to Darshan Thoogudeepa, leaving the area after the body was dumped.
This case has shocked the public, with new details emerging that underscore the brutality of the crime and the involvement of a high-profile actor and his associates.
