After the video went viral, the Ayodhya Police swung into action and have initiated an investigation.
Ayodhya: In an undated video, a man is seen being thrashed by a group of men for hugging and kissing his wife while taking a dip in the Saryu River in Ayodhya. The video shows the man being dragged away from his wife and being thrashed while the woman attempts to save her husband but fails.
After the video went viral, the Ayodhya Police swung into action and have initiated an investigation. The police said necessary action will be taken.
In the viral video, one of the perpetrators is heard saying, “Such vulgarity will not be tolerated in Ayodhya.”
Meanwhile, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Ayodhya, Shailesh Pandey, said the video is a week old and that they have not received any complaint in the matter. The police are now trying to find out where the couple is so that if they wish to take any action, a complaint can be registered.
