SDMC not to make any change in its existing Meat Policy: LoH

He clarified that under the existing policy, distance between meat shops and religious places should be 150 metres and no change will be made in it.

New Delhi: Leader of House Indarjeet Sehrawat said that South Delhi Municipal (SDMC) is not going to make any change in its existing Meat Policy. He said that the SDMC had approved Meat Policy in 2021 and there is no plan to make changes in its terms and conditions. He clarified that under the existing policy, distance between meat shops and religious places should be 150 metres and no change will be made in it.

Leader of House said that as per the policy meat sellers have to obtain licenses from SDMC. He said that meat shops are being operated under the existing Meat Policy. He said that the Civic Agency had formulated terms and conditions of this policy in 2021 considering all criteria, parameters and rules.
