Killers of Sidhu Moose Wala seen flaunting pistols, celebrating murder

New Delhi: Killers of 28-year-old Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala were seen waiving their guns and enjoying the murder. A video found on the phone of an arrested shooter witnessed them, after killing Moosewala, have been celebrating his death and flaunting their weapons. Video shows there were five assailants inside the car, brandishing their pistols and singing Punjabi song. The video was taken by law enforcement agency from one of the arrested shooter namely Ankit Sirsa.

Sirsa, one among the main shooters who killed Sidhu Moosewala was arrested by the Delhi Police a day earlier, the police informed on Monday. The police have also arrested an aide who sheltered four of the shooters. The duo was held from Kashmiri Gate bus stand in Delhi.

Special Commissioner of Police of the Delhi Police Special Cell Hargobinder Singh Dhaliwal said, “The sharpshooter, Ankit Sirsa and Sachin Bhiwani are members of the Lawrence Bishnoi-Goldy Brar gang. Ankit, who is a resident of Sonipat in Haryana, is accused in two other cases of attempts to murder in Rajasthan. Ankit was the youngest shooter who killed Sidhu Moosewala.” Bhiwani is also accused in a “heinous case” in Rajasthan’s Churu.

The police seized one 9 mm bore pistol along with 10 live cartridges and one pistol of .30 mm bore along with 9 live cartridges from the duo. “Three Punjab Police uniforms, two mobile handsets along with a dongle and a SIM card were also recovered,” the police said.

Sidhu Moosewala was shot dead on May 29, a day after the Bhagwant Mann-led Punjab government had withdrawn security covers of 424 VIPs. Moosewala usually moved around in his bullet proof Fortuner but on May 29, he was on a Thar which is not bullet proof. The singer-rapper-politician was rushed to the Mansa Civil Hospital in a critical condition but died during treatment.

Some time back the police had said jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi is the mastermind in the Sidhu Moosewala murder case. This had come after the police repeatedly questioned Bishnoi for a few days.
