New Delhi: In a toughest message to two neighbouring countries China and Pakistan, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Friday said that India will not spare, if harmed. He said that India is a superpower and is on way to head among the top three economies of the world. Singh’s statement came during his US visit in which he was addressing the Indian-American community in San Francisco. He is in US to attend 2+2 ministerial talk of both the countries in Washington DC.

The Defence Minister also sent a strong message to the United States that India does not believe in a diplomacy of “zero-sum game” and its relationship with one country cannot be at the expense of the other. He said that New Delhi always believe in bilateral relations.

While talking about valour of Indian forces in Galwan, Singh said that he cannot say in public domain what Indian soldiers did and what type of decision our government took but we conveyed the message that what India can do from its level. India cannot spare anyone, if interest were harmed,” the Defence Minister said.

Singh said that if India enjoys good tie-up with one country, it did not mean that its tie-up with other country will deteriorate. He said that India has not adopted such diplomacy ever. His statement came in the backdrop of Ukraine-Russia war as Washington is trying to influence India’s position.

“India’s image has been changed due to improvement in its prestige. India is on way to occupy a position in world’s top three economies,” said Singh, adding that Narendra Modi government has “turned around” the country and the image of India has changed for the better.”
