New Delhi: According to reports, the Russian military said it is using hypersonic missiles in Ukraine for the first time and has destroyed an underground missile depot. The use of a hypersonic missile also shows that Russia is desperate to win the war despite the world reminding it of its illegal invasion and pressing sanctions against it.

The strike has been reportedly been carried out by the Kinzhal missiles, one that is believed to have a range of nearly 2,000 kilometre. Russia also claimed that Ukraine’s radio reconnaissance centres have been destroyed in the attack.

The attack comes amid Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy asking Moscow to sit for conclusive talks. Meanwhile, while last week, Russian President Vladimir Putin was heard to be angry with his Army generals and had ousted several, on Friday, he was seen addressing a huge gathering at Moscow stadium where he was heard showering praises on the military force of the country.

Meanwhile, the Ukraine prosector general’s office said at least 112 children have been killed since the Russian aggression even as Russia is hellbent to keep its casualty count a secret. But according to sources, the Russian military has also seen a lot of deaths.

Meanwhile, the mortal remains of 21-year-old medical student Naveen Shekharappa Gyana Goudar, who was killed in Ukraine’s Kharkiv in shelling by Russian forces, will reach Bengaluru on Monday, said Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Friday. “The body of Naveen who died in a shelling attack in Ukraine will come to Bengaluru airport on Sunday at 3 am,” Bommai said.
