New Delhi: BJP MLA Vijender Gupta On Saturday called the budget presented by Delhi’s Finance Minister Sisodia as ‘visionless’ and devoid of substance.  He said that on jobs the finance minister did not present any substantive planning or commitment, as to how job creation is being ensured in Delhi. In fact, they are only repeating their previous commitments for the past 7 years.

Gupta said that PM Modi had been pushing to create job creators over job seekers since he came into power at the Centre. However, AAP government has only realised the virtue of entrepreneurship recently.

“The AAP government talked big on entrepreneurship. But it did not mention what would be its contribution in fulfilling the aspiration of Delhi’s youth. He added that the Budget does not speak of the manufacturing sector and has come as a disappointment to the traders in the national capital as well as those part of wholesale trade,” the BJP MLA Said.

He criticised the Delhi government for their complete lack of ideas in addressing the rising pollution in Delhi. He added that Delhi has emerged as the topmost polluted city in the world second time in a row. Yet, Manish Sisodia brushed over the issue with a few second of cursory mention.

“Delhi government, once again, refused to address the concern of senior citizens. In a budget that claimed Rs 75,000 crore revenue collection from people of Delhi, not even a single penny was set aside for pension of senior citizens,” added Gupta.
