Delhi Deputy CM asks people not to fall in trap after Himachal CM announces free power, water

Himachal Pradesh CM, in an address early morning, said that the state government has decided to provide free power up to 125 units and waive water bills in rural areas. He also announced to reduce bus fare for women passengers by 50 per cent.

New Delhi: Moments after Himachal Pradesh CM Jairam Thakur announced free power and water supply and a 50 per cent rebate in bus fare for women, Aam Aadmi Party leaders on Friday said that the BJP government in state is “copying” the Delhi model of governance

Deputy CM Manish Sisodia said that that Himachal government’s announcement in an attempt to “hoodwink” people, as the BJP has always said it is “completely” against freebies like free electricity. He asked people not to fall in trap. “The saffron will take back all the announcements that its chief minister had made once party will come back to the power in state,” Sisodia claimed.

He also appealed people of state to elect AAP this time for a good governance. “They have started staging a drama of copying the Kejriwal model of governance in the state with an eye on elections,” Sisodia said, adding that, “BJP and its allies are in government in 18 states but not of them has announced has announced any subsidy on water and electricity.”

“They keep saying that electricity should not be free. Now when state assembly polls are round the corner, they have made announcement of freebies. The fact is that they are scared of Arvind Kejriwal model of governance and are fearing defeat in the elections,” the Deputy CM claimed.
