New Delhi: A day after being questioned for over nine hours, senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi reached the office of Enforcement Directorate (ED) for the second consecutive day on Tuesday to be questioned in an alleged money laundering case related to the National Herald newspaper. His sister and senior Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi and other Congress leaders have also reached the central agency’s office.

Keeping in mind Congress’s protest march in the national capital on Monday, the police and paramilitary forces have been deployment in large numbers near the party headquarters in Delhi. Barricades have been put up to prevent movement of Congress workers.

Meanwhile, during the questioning, nobody, apart from ED employees will be allowed to enter the agency’s office and security forces are keeping an eye around the area to ensure Congress workers do not get to create a ruckus like Monday.

Prohibitory orders under Section 144 have been clamped across central Delhi. According to sources, on Monday, Rahul Gandhi was given a set of 45 questions to answer which he had to write down in his own handwriting according to the procedure.

On Monday, when the Congress leader was summoned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) to appear before it for questioning, scores of Congress workers had descended on the streets as a part of a Satyagraha March. The ED has summoned Rahul Gandhi in connection with a probe into an alleged money laundering case.

After the march, Rahul Gandhi reached the ED office in connection with the National Herald case. Since Congress did not have prior permission to protest, several party workers were picked up by the Delhi Police.
