Chhattisgarh CM sanctions Rs 5 cr for five nagar panchayats of Saja

CM Baghel said that the government is dedicatedly working towards realizing the dreams and visions of our forefathers for the state. Government holiday has been declared on the traditional festivals such as Teeja-Pora, Chherchera, Bhakta Mata Karma Jayanti and World Tribal Day.

Raipur: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister on Monday announced a grant of Rs one crore each for infrastructure development in five Nagar Panchayats of Saja including Saja, Deokar, Parpodi, Thankhamharia and Dhamdha. The chief minister also sanctioned Rs two crore for Swami Atmanand English Medium School Saja and named the Mother Child Hospital (MCH) to be built in Saja after Bindeshwari Devi Baghel.

Addressing the 76th Annual Convention of Kurmi Samaj, CM Baghel said that the government is dedicatedly working towards realizing the dreams and visions of our forefathers for the state. Government holiday has been declared on the traditional festivals such as Teeja-Pora, Chherchera, Bhakta Mata Karma Jayanti and World Tribal Day. ‘Arpa Pairi Ke Dhaar’ has been declared as the state song. Fourth instalment of Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana will be transferred to the bank account of the farmers on March 31.

Chief Minister said that earlier the annual financial aid of Rs 6000 was provisioned for the beneficiaries under Rajiv Gandhi Grameen Bhumiless Krishi Mazdoor Nyay Yojana. Now in the new budget, this amount of annual financial aid has been increased to Rs 7000.

“State government has made arrangements to procure Kodo-Kutki Ragi at support price. Gauthans in the villages are being developed as a rural industrial park as per the vision of Mahatma Gandhi. Under an innovative initiative of state government in the field of education, 172 Swami Atmanand English medium schools have been opened in the state with the objective to provide free English medium education to the children of poor families. Under the Dr Khubchand Baghel health insurance scheme, free treatment facility up to Rs five lakh is being provided,” he said.

On this occasion, the CM honoured the talented young men and women of the community. Delegation of Saja and the Government Employees Union of Berla gave a warm welcome to the Chief Minister and thanked him for the restoration of the old pension scheme.
