Taking to her Instagram handle, Rishi Kapoor’s daughter Riddhima shared a childhood picture with her father as she recalled him on his second death anniversary.

Kolkata: It has been two years since Bollywood actor Rishi Kapoor succumbed to cancer and left a permanent void in the industry. On Saturday, his wife Neetu Kapoor wrote, “Today is two years since rishi ji left us … loosing a partner of 45 years was difficult n painful at that time the only way to heal my heart was to keep myself mentally occupied .. Movie n television helped me achieve that 🙏 rishiji will always be remembered n will stay in everyone’s heart forever ❤️”
Taking to her Instagram handle, Rishi Kapoor’s daughter Riddhima shared a childhood picture with her father as she recalled him on his second death anniversary. The picture shows young Rishi Kapoor holding baby Riddhima in his arms. Mourning the loss of her beloved father, Riddhima captioned the photograph ‘Papa’ and used a heart emoticon.
Several Bollywood personalities, including Soni Razdan, Manish Malhotra, Maheep Kapoor, Bhavana Pandey, and Rajiv Adatia also commented on Neetu and Riddhima’s posts.
Neetu Kapoor also shared a video from the sets of Dance Deewane Juniors, where a contestant shared that Rishi Kapoor had helped her husband. To this, Neetu Kapoor replied by saying, “Rishi ji nahi hai but mai roz kisi na kisi se milti hu aur roz koi na koi mujhe unki yaad dilaata hai. Sabki ek story hai unke saath (Rishi ji is no longer here but everyday someone or the other reminds me of him. Everybody has a story with him).”
Rishi Kapoor’s fans too remembered him and commented on Neetu Kapoor’s post. One wrote, “Always in our hearts, can’t believe it’s been two years.” Another user wrote, “One of my all-time favorite his memories will live on in our hearts.”
Neetu Kapoor also revealed that their son Ranbir Kapoor still feels his void. “Ranbir misses him a lot. His mobile screensaver still has Rishi’s photo. There are days when I see tears in his eyes but he stays strong,” she said.
Rishi Kapoor married Neetu Singh in 1980. The two have featured in 12 films, including Amar Akbar Anthony, and Khel Khel Mein among others.
On the work front, Neetu Kapoor is returning to films with Karan Johar’s Jug Jug Jeeyo with Kiara Advani, Varun Dhawan and Anil Kapoor.
