The Deputy CM, who is the Minister-in-charge, has directed the Chief Secretary to place a list of all such cases before him by 5 pm on Wednesday in which approval was not taken from the Minister.

Social Welfare Minister Raaj Kumar Anand on Saturday made a surprise inspection of the Old Age Home located in Bindapur along with the officials of the department.

The LoP said that Sisodia had accused Sarma that the Assam government had bought PPE kits at a higher cost from the company of the CM’s wife during the Corona period.

Sisodia, while addressing the media, said that cases against him are part of ‘Operation Lotus’ as he is being asked to leave the Aam Aadmi Party and join the BJP.

The opposition party said that the policy was introduced in the city to aide corruption and lead to misusing of funds.

On Wednesday, the LG House had said to take legal action against Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader for levelling corruption charges against VK Saxena.

Delhi BJP said that Kejriwal government itself had said before implementing the excise policy, that it would lead to Delhi’s revenue going up by crores of rupees but the fact is it has only helped Kejriwal fill up his own pockets rather than help revenue increase.

AAP leader Sanjay Singh said, “They (BJP) say take our offer of Rs 20 crore or face CBI cases like (Manish) Sisodia.”

Earlier on Sunday, the CBI officers said a lookout notice has been issued against Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia and 12 others in the FIR filed in the excise policy.

He said that the top BJP leaders are not worried about liquor policy but about growing popularity of Arvind Kejriwal. The Deputy CM said that 2024 Lok Sabha election will be BJP versus AAP.
