Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has received another chilling death threat, allegedly from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, demanding Rs 5 crore to “end the enmity.” A WhatsApp message, reportedly sent to the Mumbai Traffic Police, warned that if the ransom is not paid, the actor’s fate could be worse than that of former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique, who was recently murdered, allegedly by the same gang.

The message stated, “Don’t take this lightly. If Salman Khan wants to stay alive and end the enmity with Lawrence Bishnoi, he must pay Rs 5 crore. If the money is not given, his condition will be worse than Baba Siddiqui’s.”

Mumbai Police on High Alert

Mumbai Police have ramped up security measures around Salman Khan’s Bandra residence, as the actor has been living under heightened security following previous threats. Law enforcement agencies are currently working to trace the origin of the threatening message.

The actor’s feud with the Bishnoi gang has been ongoing, with the gangster reportedly holding a grudge against Khan due to his alleged involvement in the 1998 blackbuck poaching case. The blackbuck is a sacred animal for the Bishnoi community, and this incident is considered a major reason for the gang’s continuous attempts to seek revenge.

Arrest of Key Bishnoi Gang Member

In a significant breakthrough, the Navi Mumbai Police on Thursday arrested a key member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, identified as Sukha alias Sukhbir Balbir Singh. The arrest took place in Panipat, Haryana, and the accused has been linked to a plot to assassinate Salman Khan. Singh had allegedly given a contract to other gang members to execute the attack.

According to police sources, Singh was in direct communication with his handler, Dogar, who is reportedly based in Pakistan. The gang had allegedly planned to carry out the attack using high-powered firearms, including AK-47s and M16s, which were smuggled from across the border.

This arrest is part of a larger investigation into the Bishnoi gang’s conspiracy against the actor. Earlier this year, the Navi Mumbai Police registered an FIR against 18 individuals linked to the gang for plotting Khan’s murder. The case came to light after a shocking incident where shots were fired outside Khan’s Bandra residence.

Bishnoi Gang’s Extensive Surveillance

The police investigation has revealed that the Bishnoi gang had deployed between 60 to 70 operatives to track Khan’s movements. These operatives were monitoring his Bandra residence, Panvel farmhouse, and various shooting locations. In a shocking detail, the gang even attempted to recruit minors to act as sharpshooters.

This is not the first time Khan has been the target of threats from the Bishnoi gang. In 2022, a threatening letter was discovered near his residence, followed by an email threat in March 2023. In January 2024, two individuals tried to trespass into his Panvel farmhouse using fake identities, prompting the actor to increase his security.
