Pune Porsche Crash: In a heart-wrenching turn of events, a 17-year-old boy’s ill-fated Porsche drive on a Pune road resulted in the tragic demise of two 24-year-old engineers.
According to sources close to the investigation, the teen reportedly confessed to police officials that he cannot recollect the events of that fateful night due to being under the influence of alcohol.
Currently, the teenager finds himself in an observation home, awaiting the decision of the Juvenile Justice Board regarding the police’s request to try him as an adult. Prior to the accident, surveillance footage captured him indulging in alcohol consumption, reportedly spending a staggering Rs 48,000 at a local pub.
During police interrogation, the adolescent allegedly asserted his inability to recall the specifics of the incident, as per insider accounts. Authorities are diligently working to retrieve the original blood sample from the minor, suspecting foul play in its substitution to absolve him of culpability.

Shockingly, two medical professionals from the state-operated Sassoon Hospital, including the head of the forensic department, were apprehended for allegedly tampering with blood samples to manipulate test results. Further complicating matters, the teen’s family members, including his grandfather, father, and mother, faced arrest for their purported involvement in orchestrating a cover-up. Notably, the teen’s mother vehemently denied any wrongdoing, insisting that hospital personnel collected her sample without sufficient explanation.
The tragedy, which claimed the lives of software engineers Ashwini Kostha and Aneesh Awadhiya, ignited nationwide indignation when the teen secured bail merely 15 hours after the incident. The conditions of his release, widely criticized as inadequate, included penning a 300-word essay, undergoing a 15-day stint with traffic police, and receiving psychiatric intervention for his alcohol dependency.
Subsequently, the Juvenile Justice Board revised its initial ruling, opting to relocate the teen to an observation home pending further legal proceedings.
