India’s star javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra and pistol shooter Manu Bhaker have set social media abuzz after being spotted together with Manu’s mother at an event following the Paris Olympics 2024. However, Manu’s father, Ram Kishan, has quickly put an end to the rumours, emphasizing that his daughter is not yet of marriageable age.

“Manu is still very young. She is not even of marriageable age. We’re not even thinking about it right now,” Ram Kishan told Dainik Bhaskar, dismissing the speculation and reiterating that such a moment in Manu’s life is still far off.
The buzz began after videos surfaced online showing Neeraj Chopra, Manu Bhaker, and her mother in close conversation. The warm interaction between Neeraj and Manu’s mother led to further rumours, with some fans suggesting that there might be more than just a friendly bond between the two athletes.
However, Ram Kishan clarified that the relationship is purely familial. “Manu’s mother considers Neeraj like her son,” he said, highlighting the affection and bond that exists between them, and firmly denying any romantic connection.
Adding to the clarity, Neeraj’s uncle also commented on the speculation surrounding the javelin star’s marital status. “Just as Neeraj brought home the medal, the entire country got to know about it. Similarly, when he marries, everyone will know,” he stated, reassuring fans that any major life events for Neeraj will be publicly shared.
