Citizens lodged 190 complaints in three days through Jan Sunwai, 26 resolved on the spot.
New Delhi: Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) has started Jan Sunwaai initiative for the convenience of general public from Monday in all its 12 zonal offices. Citizens are sharing their complaints regarding delivery of \civic services directly with the zonal DCs. A total of 190 complaints have been received till Wednesday out of which 23 complaints have been resolved on the spot. The timings of Jan Sunwaai has been fixed from 12 to 1 pm, but due to the large number of citizens, this process continues till 3 pm.
The main purpose behind this campaign is that citizens should personally meet the deputy commissioner and put their grievances in front of them. The MCD is using CRM module to keep track of complaints of citizens. They are tracked so that the progress made on those complaints or the action taken on them remains to be known. Citizens can also register their complaints from comfort of their homes through the corporation’s 311 app. The Corporation has also released a phone number for receiving feedback of citizens regarding Jan Sunwaai so that necessary improvements, if any, can be incorporated. Citizens can share their experiences regarding Jan Sunwaai by calling the number or sending Whatsapp/SMS on 7290002581 issued by the Corporation.
Through the Jan Sunwaai initiative, citizens can convey their problems and complaints to the municipal administration. The Municipal Corporation of Delhi is receiving various complaints in public hearing such as debris and garbage removal, unauthorized construction, GPF transfer, birth and death certificates, license related, etc. It is the endeavor of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi that the problems and grievances of the citizens should be redressed in the earliest and effective manner.
