After dropping a couple of teasers, the makers of “Kill” have finally unveiled the film’s trailer on Wednesday. The trailer kicks off with a grim image of debutant Lakshya being dragged by his neck on the floor, immediately setting a dark tone.
The scene quickly shifts to a lighter moment where Lakshya proposes to his girlfriend, played by Tanya Maniktala, on a train. This happiness is soon shattered as a gang of goons begins wreaking havoc on the train.
The tension further escalates with the entrance of Raghav Juyal. The trailer depicts Lakshya, described as not an “ordinary soldier,” unleashing a bloodbath to protect his loved ones. The preview promises intense and gruesome action scenes that are sure to send chills down viewers’ spines.
Sharing the trailer, Karan Johar wrote, “Once upon a bloody time…#KILLTrailer out now – link in bio! India theatrical release – 5th July. Warning: This film contains violent content which may be intense and disturbing for some viewers. Viewer discretion is advised.”
“Kill” was screened at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) last year. The screening, part of TIFF’s Midnight Madness section, was attended by producers Karan Johar and Guneet Monga, Lakshya, Dharma Productions’ CEO Apoorva Mehta, director Nikhil Nagesh Bhat, and actor Raghav Juyal. Sharing pictures from the premiere, Karan Johar wrote, “Ready to #KILL! World Premiere of KILL at Toronto International Film Festival – Midnight Madness Screening!
