In a gruesome revelation, investigators have found that missing Bangladesh MP Anwarul Azim Anar was brutally murdered, his body skinned, chopped into pieces and disposed of across the city of Kolkata in multiple plastic packets. Anwarul Azim Anar had been missing since May 14, just two days after his arrival in the city.
The West Bengal Criminal Investigation Department (CID) made a significant breakthrough with the arrest of Jihad Hawladar, an illegal immigrant from Bangladesh residing in Mumbai. CID sources report that Hawladar confessed to his involvement in the murder, which took place in an apartment in New Town, Kolkata.
Shocking details from the investigation reveal that the crime was meticulously planned and executed. Hawladar disclosed that the mastermind behind the murder was Akhtaruzzaman, a US citizen of Bangladeshi origin. Following Akhtaruzzaman’s orders, Hawladar, along with four other Bangladeshi nationals, smothered and killed Bangladesh MP Anwarul Azim Anar in the New Town apartment.
Bangladesh Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan confirmed on Wednesday that Anwarul Azim Anar had been found murdered and that three suspects had been arrested.

Bloodstains and several plastic bags believed to have been used to transport the body parts were found in the New Town apartment. According to the police, circumstantial evidence indicates that the MP was first strangled, then his body was cut into several pieces.
Hawladar reportedly confessed to the chilling details of the crime, stating that after killing Anwarul Azim Anar, the group skinned the body, removed the flesh, and minced it to obliterate any chance of identification. The remains were packed into plastic bags, with the bones cut into small pieces, and disposed of across various locations in Kolkata.
Authorities are continuing to search for the remaining body parts of the murdered MP, piecing together the horrific crime that has sent shockwaves through both Bangladesh and India.
