Atishi Eviction From Delhi CM House: Delhi Chief Minister Atishi has been evicted from her official residence just two days after moving in, sparking fresh tension between the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the BJP-led Centre. The AAP claimed that Lt Governor Vinai Saxena forcibly removed Atishi’s belongings from the official residence on Flagstaff Road, acting “at the behest of the BJP.”

Visuals showed cartons and luggage being moved out of the house, with NDTV citing sources who said a double lock was placed on the residence. Allegedly, proper paperwork regarding the handover of keys had not been submitted to the Public Works Department (PWD), which triggered the removal.

The incident has ignited another political clash between the AAP and the BJP, with both parties producing documents to justify their positions. Atishi had recently moved into the bungalow after her predecessor, Arvind Kejriwal, vacated it following his resignation as Delhi’s Chief Minister.

The BJP, however, claimed that the bungalow had not yet been officially handed over to the PWD for reallocation. Leader of Opposition Vijender Gupta shared a purported PWD letter suggesting that Arvind Kejriwal had not fully vacated the premises, as some of his belongings were allegedly still inside.

In response, AAP accused the BJP of attempting to “usurp” the bungalow, with AAP MP Sanjay Singh asserting that Arvind Kejriwal had indeed vacated the residence. The BJP also alleged that Atishi had been illegally occupying the bungalow, as she had already been allotted a different official residence at AB-17 on Mathura Road after becoming a minister.

This latest development further intensifies the ongoing political friction between the AAP government and the Centre, as the Lt Governor’s office has yet to comment on the matter.
