Mysterious animal in Modi swearing in: Prime Minister Narendra Modi was sworn in for a third term on Sunday in a grand ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhavan, attended by 8,000 guests including foreign heads of state, dignitaries, industrialists, and film stars.
However, it was an unexpected guest caught on camera that stole the spotlight on social media. A video showing a cat-like animal in the background while BJP MP Durga Das Uikey was greeting President Droupadi Murmu after the oath ceremony has gone viral.

Speculation ran wild online, with users debating whether the animal was a leopard, an ordinary cat, or a dog. The video clip was widely shared, sparking various theories about the animal seen strolling casually at the presidential palace.
“Lmao..is it edited or what? How come no one noticed this. Looks like a big cat,” one user commented. Another remarked, ” It’s a cat. It may be Savannah breed which walks and looks like a leopard but harmless.” A third user speculated, ” By its size it defenitely looks like a leopard.”

During the ceremony, President Murmu administered the oath of office and secrecy to a 72-member Council of Ministers, including 30 Cabinet Ministers, 36 Ministers of State (MoS), and five MoS with independent charge. Key figures such as Rajnath Singh, Amit Shah, Nitin Gadkari, Nirmala Sitharaman, and S Jaishankar continue as Cabinet Ministers. The new Council of Ministers includes 11 ministers from NDA alliance partners.
PM Modi shared on X that he looks forward to serving 140 crore Indians and working with the Council of Ministers to take India to new heights of progress.
On Monday morning, PM Modi took charge and signed his first file, focusing on the welfare of farmers.
